Cottanera at Vinitaly with the new Etna DOC Rosso 100% Nerello Mascalese

Cottanera winery returns to Vinitaly with the new vintages of all 10 wines and shows the new Etna DOC Rosso Cottanera, which replaces the previous Barbazzale.

This wine embodies the idea of the company’s Etna DOC Rosso: 100% Nerello Mascalese grapes grown on volcanic, alluvial, clayey soil, hand-picked and then aged for six months in bottles. 90,000 bottles for the first vintage of 2022, which will be tasted for the first time at Vinitaly.

«As every year, Vinitaly represents an important showcase to present our wines and our news to the public and to the entire Italian and foreign network – explains Francesco Cambria, who coordinates all the winemaking activities of the company. – We also rely on new commercial opportunities in areas where we do not yet export our products».

The company is currently engaged in the production of 10 labels – 5 red wines, 2 white wines, 1 rosé wine, 2 sparkling wines – and in consolidating Dimora Cottanera, the hospitality project born from a recovery of the ancient hazelnut warehouses and the family villa in a perspective that combines tradition and design choices.

The starting point to discover the wines of Etna from the territory in which they are born, wrapped in the countryside hospitality that distinguishes this unique experience.
